Free Revive care packs support culturally appropriate care in Leeds
A council announcement dated 7 October describes free hair and skincare packs for Black and dual-heritage children in care.
Leeds foster carers developed the packs through Care Leavers Second Chance CIC. They contain suitable hair and skin products, practical guidance and details of specialist local hairdressers. The council reports delivery to foster families, with packs also reaching residential and kinship care. Council teams and the Leeds Foster Carer Association provided funding.
Interpretation: organisations supporting children in care can use this example to review whether everyday care respects cultural needs. The announcement reports delivery, rather than measured changes in wellbeing.
